About

About Me

So you wanted to find out more about me? Jen is short for Jennifer. Kudos to my parents for giving me an original name. I’d almost rather be named Guinevere instead.

I’m a design student, majoring in visual communication (and no, I won’t explain what that it is, for the umpteenth time, figure it out yourself!) at Monash. I worked bloody hard to get in and sometimes I feel incredibly inspired and privileged to be among such talented people and mentors, and then there are those times when you just wish everyone and everything could just be obliterated to several millenia and dimensions away. Angst and joy aside, it’s pretty damn cool I will be in a job that I love and get paid for. If you’re interested in my art and design work, please visit my portfolio.

I love like to have an excuse to snark and gush about, well, anything, really, but mostly art, design, films, books and TV shows. I read copious amounts of crime, art/design/history/cultural theory, romance, historical fiction, classic literature (in all, very eclectic) and the occasional fantasy and sci-fi (I’m very hard to impress in that alley for some reason).

I love period dramas, especially those set during World War II and in Victorian England. My dream fictional men are Bruce Wayne, Mr Thornton and Alexander Belov (Barrington) (OK, maybe Mr. Thornton is more realistic). Move over, Mr Darcy, physically and emotionally tortured men is where it’s at!

If you’ve read up to this point, I’m startled impressed with you!
